MS annotations: 'Mr Darbyshire RW. 7/9/85'; 'Noted. This timber is from Bullangarook
between Bacchus Marsh and Gisborne. Can it be used and if so at what price? G.C.D.
8/9/85'; and 'I think this may be accepted as "box" & paid for at the current price
if sound and good RW. 8/9/85'.
The Eucalyptus, of which you sent branchlets, dear Mr Watson, is Euc. goniocalyx,
concerning which you will find rather full information in my Eucalyptography.
The timber is regarded as very valuable, and as durable also, altho' it is no so
strong as that of some of our best timbers. The most durable would come from dry grounds.
