I have the honor to forward herewith, for your information and guidance, a copy of
a circular received from the Treasury with respect to the manner in which the amounts
added to salaries for Rent and Rations are to be collected and paid in to Revenue
and to request you will be good enough to furnish me, as soon as possible with a statement
(in triplicate) prepared in the accompanying form of the sums to be paid on account
of rent, rations &c by the officers under you.
