See M to T. Wilson, 9 June 1885 (in this edition as 85-06-09a). MS file annotation: 'Received 2 sets of dried plants 9 July 1885 Charles French'. It is not clear whether this refers to Charles French Snr or his son Charles H. French; both were employed in M's department at this date.
