Sydney 16th May /85

My dear Baron

Enclosed are leaves, flower, & seed vessel of a species of sent to me from Queensland, and said to be very poisonous to cattle, & sheep. I cannot determine the species, and will therefore feel greatly obliged if you will assist me by naming the plant. I am sorry to say that Mr Betche is suffering again from a bronchial attack & is quite unfit to go to the country at present. When he is better I shall hope to send him to some distant part not yet well examined botanically, & he may discover something new for you to describe
