Mit nächster Post werde ich Ihnen, edler Freund, eine Päckchen Algen von Encounter Bay (südlich-östlich an dem St Vincent's Golf) senden, wo diese Tange auf meinen besonderen Wunsch von Miss Cole gesammelt wurden. Die Gegend ist von unserem verewigten Freunde Harvey nicht besucht worden; so mögen Ihnen diese Algen willkommen sein des Standortes wegen, u. hoffe ich, dass sich auch etwas Annehmbares darunter für Ihre eigne Sammlung finden wird.

The region was not visited by our immortal friend Harvey; so these algae may be welcome on account of the locality, and I hope that something acceptable is found among them for your own collection.
