Curiously enough, dear Mr Ramsay, I wrote to you two days ago, enquiring about the book sent for Dr Froude.

See M to E. Ramsay, 9 March 1885.
I am glad to learn, that he got it through your kindness.
I shall always be glad to examine any of your S. Sea Islands Orchids.
Since I am out of the garden, I have no chances to make up collections of Australian seeds, having neither any collector regularly in the field. If any seeds however will get somehow through correspondents within my reach, I will think of you.
Regardfully
your
Ferd. von Mueller

The letter is followed in the file by a sheet, numbered 450, with a crude sketch of what appears to be a wooden structure of some kind, which appears to have no connection with the letters preceding and following it.
