respecting colour of fruits of ; I have seen the seed fresh upon a growing Tree but going through the bush the other day I picked up a fruit — it was the terminal fruit on a stalk about 1½ inch long — the colour was Blue , and I would have no isitation

hesitation?

in saying it was the fruit off . the pulp round the seed was about 1 / 16 of an inch thick, bright blue and very soft. the seed was very hard. I cut it across and feel confident it was identical with the seed I sent you.

I spent some considerable time, lookingh for the Parent Tree that bore it but did not succeed. No doubt it was carried by Birds for there were no Elaeocarpus for 100 yards around.

I thank you kindly for your remittence of £5.14. through Mr Luehman. Also for Medicago seed.
