Letter not found. The text given here is from 'Irrigation', a report of the meeting of the St. Arnaud Waterworks Trust held on 31 May 1885, Leader, 11 April 1885, p. 13. Correspondence was received from the Department of Mines and Water Supply, concerning samples obtained from a bore at Wycheproof in search of artesian water. No trace of the Department’s correspondence with M on this matter has been found at the Victorian Public Record Office.
