Allow me the question, dear Professor Lange, whether in Liebmann's publications on Mexican Oaks
1
Liebmann (1869). There is a copy of this posthumously-published work in the library, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, but there is no indication of when or how it was acquired.
anything is mentioned as regards their timber-use, bark-value for tan &c. I would gladly use such notes for the next edition of my "select plants". Recently I have ascertained, that furnishes one of the best of Oak-wood of Mexico.
I like to take this opportunity to remark, that if in the library of the University of Copenhagen still any volumes of my works are wanting and should be deemed desirable, they could be obtained (except the older volumes of the fragmenta) by a direct official application to the honorable James Service, Premier of Victoria, Melbourne, through whose Bureau solely the distribution of Governments publications here takes place.
Very regardfully
