, a widely distributed species in the warmer regions of the globe. With various other kinds of Sporobolus, it has the merit of resisting drought to a remarkable extent. The fruiting spikes are nutritious to stock, but the foliage is rather harsh. Seeds can easily be collected from this grass for its further dissemination.
