I have the honor to recommend for your favorable consideration, that Gerhard Renner
may be engaged as Junior Assistant in the Governm. Botanists Establishment vice Léon
Henry resigned. The duties to be performed require special knowledge of plants and
also particular adaptability for the work to be performed, in both respects Gerh.
Renner would fulfill the needful requirements. The engagement, if it met with your
approval, would be again only on daily wages, 7/6 per diem, and would only be binding
by the week, as was the case before.
