Baron Von Muller
Dear Sir
I have recently seen in a Queensland news paper a flower which I believe to be of the same kind as the one enclosed, described as something new or rare, it has occurred to me that you may perhaps like to have a specimen of it, also some of the seeds, it grows freely on the sand hills in this neighborhood in some places attaining the hight of about 3 to 4 feet. The stock rarely if ever eat it. In form of plant and manner in which the blossoms grow on an upright stalk, it resembles some of the Lupin family more than any other plant of my acquaintance.
I remain Sir
yours etc
E. G. Burkitt.
