This day, dear Mr Fraser, I received a letter from the distinguished promotor of industrial exhibitions, Mr P. L. Simmonds, whom you probably met in London.

In this letter, which is only one of many I received from him during many years, he say

: "Efforts are being made here, to form a Company, to work more extensively the forests of in W.A, which — I think — I shall join". It occurs to me, that he may not have a copy of your extensive report, issued (with what I wrote) last year.

Fraser (1882), which included a copy of B79.13.10 (see B82.13.21).
As he is one of the leading Gentlemen for practical work in England connected with all international exhibitions since the first was brought about by the Prince Consort, perhaps you will send him a copy of your Report, should you not already be in communication with him.

On 25 July 1884 Fraser instructed that a copy of the report be sent, and on the following day M was informed that this had been done; see M. Fraser to M, 26 July 1884 (in this edition as 84-07-26a). The file also contains offprints of two of M's papers, B84.02.02 and B84.04.01.
