The marine weed, dredged up in Sydney-Harbour, dear Mr Whitelegge, is the female plant of , which genus I was the first to transfer from to .

M maintained Halophila in in B 75.13.10, but listed it under in B83.03.04, p. 115, without a citation to the transfer.

I was not aware, that it grew at such a depth; it is a narrow-leaved form.
