Document is a circular to the heads of 14 sub-departments within the Chief Secretary's Department.
Sir
I have the honor to request that you will furnish to the office, not later than the 19th instant, Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for your Department during the financial year 1884-85.
You will be good enough to prepare the latter exactly in the same form as that in which they will appear when printed — viz. the columns of figures relating to the financial years 1883-4 and 1884-5 being placed in juxtaposition — those relating to the former financial year on the outside, and those to the latter on the inside — shillings and pence being omitted in the money columns.
I have the honor to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient servant,
T.R. Wilson
PS. In regard to Public Works and Buildings, an estimate should be transmitted to the Honorable the Commissioner of Public Works by the date mentioned and a copy of it forwarded to this office.
