Dear Baron
I return with thanks the specimens of Sturmia. I have great doubts that the small leaved specimen with bulbs is the same plant as the large leaved with seed vessels If there is no doubt from the flowers with the spatulate labellum having been found on the robust plant I should be glad to know as I have figured it in flower as a small plant which so far as I know except from the description in the "Flora"

Bentham (1863-78), vol. 6, pp. 272-3.
is the normal habit of the species. Can the large leaves of S reflexa or S angustilabris have been confounded with the small leaves of S coelogynoides i.e. sent with its flowers.
I am much pleased that you like the last number of the Orchids.

R. Fitzgerald (1875-94), vol. 2, part 1 was published in January 1884.
As the descript. have previously been published of all the species in the number considered new I do not think its publication being in 1884 need prevent your reference to them in the "Census"
