Vic.
It is with much regret, dear Mr Morrison,
that I hear of your suffering still from recurrent fever, and as I am myself unable
to undertake long drives, on account of the severity of my cough, I cannot venture
to see you on your own place. I have however resolved, to remain here for one week
longer, and if you should feel meanwhile well enough, I shall be delighted to see
you here, when we could fully confer on matters connected with future researches on
the Papuan Flora.

Morrison had recently returned to Melbourne from an exploring expedition to New Guinea
during which he had received severe spear wounds that he was lucky to survive.
With the best wishes for your recovery and every respect, I remain your

to see you some day in Melbourne.
