Dated to 1883 on the basis of M's annotation.

The children

Pupils at the school where Johnson taught.
have brought some plants new to me specimens of which I send.
No 2 appears very similar to C. Patersoni,

Caladenia patersoni.
except that the colour is much darker. (3) Sarsaparilla

Sarsaparilla is a common name of more than one species.

(5) I have marked (a) (b) as I am not sure whether they are different orchids or not; one retaining its colour & the other drying very dark.
(6) Is a poor specimen but the best of those brought. Is it ?
(7) The 3rd kind of Goodenia I have found here — foliage leaves different from G. ovata.
(8) Is a good deal like major except that the labellum has glands or teeth in this specimen.
I have examined a great quantity of and but have found nothing worth sending, the latter being of the ordinary crescent-shaped type
