My Dear Baron,
I am so interested in the identification of the enclosed small, annual composite,
that I send it to you at once (as it will carry safely) rather than it should wait
for the rest of the collection
I fail to place it generically though it seems to me to come near to
differing from it in its herbaceous involucral bracts, and in the capillary denticulate
bristles in addition to the chaffy scales The circumferential florets about 8; the
disk florets about 4 apparently sterile.

Habitat. Barren stony ground Mount Parry, Aroona Range
I give the name Aroona Range to the line of elevated ground bounding Lake Torrens
on the N. E. extending from the latitude of Beltana, in a n.n.w. direction, through
Mt Deception, Aroona Mountain, Termination Hill, & Mt Nor' West.
Await with anxiety your opinion
Yrs very truly
Ralph Tate
