Dear Sir —
When you can find leisure, I have sent a few more plants for you to name
(1)
(2)
(3) ?
(4)
(5)
(6) ?
(7) ?
No 4 appears to have all the characteristics of except the foliage leaves. I recognize it as belonging to " " as likewise No 7. The beak in the latter is not turned back as in the engraving in "Botanic Teaching",

otherwise it appears to be the same.
Nos 4, 5 do not properly belong to our district. They were brought to me from Mt Anakie, distant about 17 miles.
Of 5 I can make nothing at all. Under the microscope the flower? appears to be nothing but a mass of star-like white hair.
I have sent a pretty-looking coral-shaped fung I came across yesterday. I have not pressed it.
Many thanks for information about .

See S. Johnson to M, 14 May 1883.
