Mons. E. A. Pesoli,
Acting Consul General for France &c
I find, dear Consul Pesoli, some difficulty of selecting seeds for the Agronomic Institut
of Tipaza,
because since the last 25 years and even more I have made so many sendings of seeds
to Algeria, that all our ordinary trees and shrubs have become common there. It seems
to me best, to ask Mr. de Noter first for some further explanation of his requirements;
if he will
specify
, what he particularly stands in need of, I will act on any suggestions of his as
far as is within my means; but it seems to me unadvisable to send anything from here,
that did not
add
to the Australian plants in Algier, as he could of numerous species obtain now locally
the seeds.

Tipaza (or Tipasa) is located on the Algerian coast, west of Algiers.
Ready to render you any services at any time, I remain your regardful friend
Ferd. von Mueller.
I have latterly not been well, which accounts for the tardiness of my reply.
