[Tea Plant.— Tea, Mirboo.— "It is in humid valleys," says Baron von Mueller, "with rich alluvial soil and access to springs for irrigation, where only the most productive tea fields can be formed. Its culture is surrounded with no difficulties, it merely requires to be planted in rows 4 feet or 5 foot apart, and the soil kept free from weeds." For full advice on the culture and preparation of tea, consult the Baron's printed lecture, delivered in Ballarat in 1875.

We do not suppose a stock of tea plants could be obtained in the colony; you might inquire of any nurseryman, or of Mr. W. R. Guilfoyle, Melbourne Botanic Garden.]
