After posting to you, dear Mr Dyer, a letter by this mail, I receive just before the closing of the post the brochure on the Phylloxera vastatrix in Malaga, kindly sent by you.

No relevant report has been found in the library at the Royal Botanic Gardns Melbourne; M may have been sent Orueta y Duarte (1882), a copy of which has not been seen, or Coya (1878).
I was aware, that the terrible Vine-scourge got as far as that, but the present publication will give full details. There is a Grand Cordon and a fortune to be gained yet by any one, who can stamp out the pest.
