I am sorry to say that I have not been able to get any seeds of . I had a long search yesterday but was too late, all the seed having fallen. The specimens forwarded were gathered before Xmas.
Of there are now no specimens to be got. It is extremely rare here. I have found only two specimens all last season. If however, not too late, next spring, I will endeavour to get specimens & forward
The fungi of this neighbourhood are few, most of those which I have noticed being the common Toadstools & Puff-balls. I intend visiting Melbourne on Friday next & shall come to the Gardens on Saturday if possible, when if I should be fortunate enough to see you perhaps you could give me a hint as to the preservation &a of Fungi & Lichens. I should be only too happy to forward any that would be of use.
Of the present specimens No 3 is a good deal like the Daisy but with very different foliage
