I write at last moment in great haste. By s.s. 'Suva' I send you more specimens of Cycas

See J. Thurston to M, 13 January 1883.

— i.e. I male cone — 2. a few carpophyllum leaves of ♂ tree. leaves of ♀ tree.

You will observe [spines] on one leaf, the first I have seen, also that the carpophyllum are of the 4.

(8) interlined , seemingly in another hand .
