Dear Baron Mueller
The plants collected on our way to Kosciusko
were on our return posted at Corryong
& addressed to you in Melbourne. It was only a small packet & consisted of sorts
that we had not noticed in this neighbourhood. The previous parcel seems to have gone
astray likewise. They were entrusted to a resident of this neighbourhood who promised
to see them safely delivered to you. We have still on hand a considerable number of
plants collected during the last two months which we would be glad to send down should
you desire it. Enclosed you will find a plant got about 8 miles above this on the
Khancoban river
& found in a scrub. I believe it is rare about here having only seen the one tree
from which the specimen was got.
