Altho' the index and part of the additions to the Census are in type, I see now, that the volume will not be out before next month; but it will contain no matter, which does not belong to 1882.

B83.03.04; the title page is dated 1882. Notwithstanding M's comments, the 'Additional Species', p. 140, include at least some that were published in after 1882. For example, the Genus Isandra is reported as erected in 'F. v. M., fragm. phyt. Austr. XII (inedit.)' and the species I. bancroftii is cited similarly. Vol. 12 of the Fragmenta was discontinued after the first fascicle, B82.12.04; the genus and species were published in B83.01.02, along with other species in the 'Additional Species' list, described as 'inedit' (unpublished).
It took more time, to arrange the additions, than I thought, and I had lots of routine work also to attend to in the Department latterly.
I anticipate, that you will bring many an interesting plant from your new trip.
Regardfully your
Ferd von Mueller
