Esteemed Sir,
I forward by same mail two specimens of Eucalypti found by me lately in this forest .
"No 1." from a high, bleak hill soil shallow and sandy of a reddish hue, and calcareous. A very upright slender bush some five feet high one long thin stem branching out into a bushy thick head branchlets of a yellowish red long and very slender. Bark, smooth and redish brown towards the base, but as it nears the extremities of a shining bright yellow, found among the Mallee Scrub and dwarf s somewhat sheltered position, not at all common.
No 2 — A tall Mallee, smooth bark, yellowish, decorticating in half cylinder shreds. Of somewhat weeping habit, very thick foliage at top otherwise "clean" stem; some 10 or 14 feet high soil as No 1. in fact I found the two together.
I shall feel obliged if you will please give me name of the two vars
