See A. McDowall to M, 6 December 1882; A. McDowall to M, 21 February 1883; and A. McDowall to M, 7 March 1883; and also B83.02.01, in which M discussed McDowall's
Zamia
under the name
Encephalartos Douglasii.
These are fair specimens but not extra large. I am also sending you the leaves and
seed of the Fraser Island Turpentine tree. I want you to tell me the botanical name
of the tree. It has been proclaimed a Eucalyptus microcorys, but I am of opinion that
there must be some mistake as it looks more like Syncarpia Laurifolia, but I may be
wrong.
