My dear Baron,
I can sympathize with you on the death of your friend. He was, indeed, an eminent man, & his removal must be regarded as a loss to the Church.

M's friend Rev. John Stobbs died on 10 August 1882.
I am afraid that I cannot promise anything about the woods at present. I have Mrs Woolls in a very delicate state, & therefore much of my time & thought is occupied about her. Most of the Carpenters here are employed by Government & they do not care to undertake any little jobs. I have been waiting for six months to get a little matter done! I will, however, think the subject over.
I send you by this post a copy of my Lecture as it appeared in the Echo .

Can you tell me the species of the enclosed grass? It came from Goondiwindi Queensland, & looks like Eragrostis pilosa , but the spikelets are much smaller
We are just having a change in the weather. A downpour of rain would be a blessing.
Yours very sincerely
W Woolls
