The list is one of a number sent by Cooke that are now in the library of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. See notes to M. Cooke to M, 17 January 1885, for a discussion of Cooke's author attributions.
Unless otherwise noted, all entries with an identifying number or letter have an ink to the left of the numeral or letter. Unless otherwise noted all entries have a pencil — before the name, usually horizontal, but sometimes sloping.

It is unlikely that Port Denison, WA, is intended, because although M had collections from that local government area, they were mostly collected by him in 1877, while the fungi collections from the locality listed for MEL in AVH (accessed 22 May 2021) were all collected by R. S. Fisson on 4 September 1966.

115
There are two locations called Lake Bonney in SA; this one probably in the SE, to the west of Mt Gambier, from where M's sister Clara Wehl and her children collected many specimens, including fungi; some paintings by Marie Wehl were sent to Cooke (Dowe, May, Maroske & Smith (2020)). See also notes to G. Massee to M, 7 May 1888 (in this edition as 88-05-07b). Note, however, that AVH (accessed 26 May 2020) lists five fungus specimens at MEL collected around the more northern Lake Bonney, near Barmera, by 'Miss Wehl'.
