Erlauben Sie mir, hochgeehrter Herr Professor, Ihnen mitzutheilen, dass ich mit dem Dampfschiffe "Liguria" in voriger Woche eine Holzsammlung an meine London Agenten, Mess. Watson & Scull, abgesandt habe, mit dem Ersuchen solche nach Stockholm an den botanischen Garten zu befördern. Ich habe meine Agenten auch instruirt, diese Kiste in Stockholm frei abliefern zu lassen. In aller Wahrscheinlichkeit werden xylologische Sammlungen in Ihr Reichsmuseum aufgenommen, jedenfalls sind Doubletten Exemplare da für Ihre Anstalt, u. ich möchte auch bitten, einige derselben an das bot. Museum in Christiania abzugeben. Es schien unnöthig zu sein, doppelte Versendungskosten zu machen, da die Hauptstadt von Norwegen Ihnen ja so nahe liegt. Wenn ich Ihrer Anstalt noch anderweitig nützen kann, so gebieten Sie frei über meine Dienste.

Permit me, highly esteemed Professor, to inform you that I have sent off a collection of wood by the steamer Liguria last week to my London agents, Messrs. Watson & Scull, with the request to forward them to Stockholm to the Botanical Garden. I have also instructed my agents to have this box delivered free in Stockholm. In all likelihood xylological collections are accepted in your Royal Museum, at any rate duplicate specimens are there for your institute and I should also like to ask that some of them be given to the botanical museum in Christiania.

It seemed to be unnecessary to make double shipment costs, since the capital of Norway does lie so close to you. If I can still otherwise be of use to your institute, you have my service freely at your disposal.
