Memorandum
[After] due enquiry at three [tr]ading printing-establishments it was found, that the price at Mess. M'Carron, Bird & Co's was the lowest, [th]e firm declining to tender [for] the work, whereas smaller establishments have not the needful types. The hon. the Chief Secretary approved of the work being done in a private establishment; the letter [on] which Mr Grants approval is noted, has gone back to the C. S.'s office.
Ferd. von Mueller.
5/5/82.
Will Mr Wilson kindly obtain or sign approval on the L2 form?
