Dear Baron,
I would be glad if you could let me know the name of the African grass, seed of which you presented to the West Bourke Agricultural Society last July, and what its particular properties are as to succulency &c, also whether you consider it would thrive in this Colony and be a good fodder. I enclose a stalk of the grass.
Trusting I am not trespassing too much upon your valuable time,
I am, Dear Baron,
Yours very truly.
