In meinem Briefe über die Pflanzen, welche Sie südöstlich von dort mit Prof. Tate sammelten, hatte ich den Cyperus als C. gracilis bennent einfach nach dem Ansehen. Dies zeigt wieder, dass man nicht übereilt verfahren sollte, im Benennen von Pflanzen, lieber Herr Tepper, denn bei genauerer Untersuchung stellt es sich heraus, dass es C. tenellus , L. fil. ist. Beide Arten sind nahe verwandt; übrigens ist C. gracilis auch in S.A., nämlich am Lake Eyre.
Wie oft publicirt die Adelaider Königl Gesellschaft? u bekommt der Autor gleich nach dem Druck der Abhandlung seine Extra-Abdrücke?

In my letter about the plants that you collected with Professor Tate southeast from there, I had named the Cyperus as C. gracilis simply from the appearance. This shows again that one should not act hastily in the naming of plants, dear Mr Tepper, because on a more detailed investigation it turns out that it is C. tenellus L. fil. Both species are closely related; by the way C. gracilis is also in South Australia, namely at Lake Eyre .
How often does the Adelaide Royal Society publish and does the author receive his extra reprints right after the printing of the paper?
