Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the
28th ultimo,
communicating your desire to obtain for this Colony a large collection of dried plants
formed by a leading botanist of Europe,
at a cost of £900, and in reply to inform you that the Chief Secretary declines to
entertain the proposal.
