(1808) is the older name of C. rhomboidea (1826)

M had been using the name , and attributing it to Ventenat, since at least 1864 (M to F. Paraltore. 24 November 1864 (in this edition as 64-11-24b)), and in print since at least 1865, in B65.10.01, p. 17, where it is listed as a numbered species on the plan of the Botanic Gardens. However, Ventenat did not give a specific name when he erected Callitris (Ventenat (1808), no. 10), nor is there any record of M's having had access to a copy of this work. He did, however, have a copy of Endlicher (1847) in which, on p. 36, the name, cited from Ventenat, is included as a synonym of Frenela triqetra.
