My Dear Baron,

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your esteemed favor of the 13th instant, suggesting that your botanical list be published with the journals of explorations in connection with this Colony,

M's letter of 13 November 1881 in which he made this suggestion has not been found but is registered in the index of letters received by the Department of Lands; see M to G. Goyder, 13 November 1881 (in this edition as 81-11-13a) and notes thereto.

and regret to inform you, that it is only intended to reprint the late Mr. Gosse's journal

Gosse (1874). Gosse died on 12 August 1881.
