I do myself the honor to enclose a sprig in Flower of a very good Cattle-Bovine fodder shrub. It is leafless or has only a few stray leaves on rare occasions on some young shoots. The seed vessel is a berry or rather a drupe as each glutinous sticky berry contains one seed only. Tho leafless being sometimes a Tall shrub it is a good shade the branches being so close & dense. In January I hope to be able to send you some seeds for your friend in the South of France
I have the honor to be

Your much obliged obedient Servant
