Dear Sir
Our arrangements for communication are not perfect. I sent the box from here by the
S. S. "Glamis Castle" May 11 & your letter of date 24/6/81
only reached me August 10, but I am chancing another lot of seaweed & other plants,
which I hope you will receive in more decent time.

Letter not found.
The seeds & plants you remarked, as of some interest, & that you would like to have
more of, I will send when they again appear, but at present there are none of them
visible; the country having been burnt off & their season, apparently is over for
this year, at least til the rains set in.
Did Mr French
get the bottle of beetles I sent in your box, as I have not heard from him as yet
about them. I am yours obediently
4
Charles French Snr.
