Melbourne, July 29th, 1881
Dear Sir, —
I have the honor to transmit to you herewith, by parcel post, a package; with some Algerian seeds, received from the Chief Commissioner for France at the Melbourne International Exhibition. To these seeds is added some barley, grown in Western Australia by Mr Clinch. Perhaps some members of your society would like to give these seeds a trial, for the sake of obtaining change of seed grain, or for bringing new varieties locally under cultivation.
