MS annotation by Hooker: 'March 4/81 And [Bth] with flowers of E. stricta'.
Am not quite sure, dear Sir Joseph, whether I already wrote to you with a view of
consulting you on what Bentham calls Eucal. stricta. He placed it with the Micrantherae.
Could any one of your subordinates (if you have no leisure yourself) kindly ascertain
whether it really belongs to that section. I am almost convinced, that it belongs
to the Renanthereae, as pointed out in my Atlas under E. stellulata.
