MS found with a specimen of
Cuttsia viburnea
(MEL 2235712). MS annotation on reverse: '1881 Scoterchini'. The letter's handwriting
is similar to that of known specimens of Scortechini's handwriting.

I doubt the idendity of the plant from which I gathered the flowers and capsules.
It looks much the same; I gathered the capsules long ago, the flowers only lately
in two far apart localities. I have no access to your description in the V vol. of
the Frag:
from the generic description in the Genera Plantarum
I am inclined to think that the present specimen is a Cuttsia.
