wird ihre Heilkraft hauptsächlich in einem Öle besitzen, welches dem der Euc. sehr ähnlich sein muss. Ich habe im Jahr 1866 für die Ausstellung in Paris auch das Öl von herstellen lassen. Vielleicht würde unser Freund in Adelaide auch Mel. unc. abdestilliren. Wegen überhäufter Geschäfte habe ich die Berichte des bot. Vereins von Brandenburg nicht genau durchlesen können, werde wegen Ihrer Angelegenheit nachsehen.

Perhaps our friend in Adelaide would also distil . On account of overwhelming business I have not been able to read through the Berichte des botanischen Vereins von Brandenburg closely, will check with regard to your affair.

M is probably referring to Tepper’s having been nominated for election to the Brandenburg Botanical Society. He had in fact been elected a member of the Society on 26 June 1880 (see Verhandlungen des Botanischen Vereins für die Provinz Brandenburg, 1881, p. 74), but news of this would not yet have reached Australia.
