Dear Baron Mueller
I have much pleasure in sending you a fragment of a new Eucalyptus (
E. Curreyana
)
which I have found in the sandstone ranges in the neighbourhood of Stanwell.
It has the general appearance of
E. crebra
, but the venation of the leaves is different, and the bark is brown, soft, fibrous
and lamellar. I have not seen the flowers. The fresh luxurient shoots smell like the
'scented gum' altho it is scarcely perceptible in the dry state.
