The Aspidium decompositum , on which I have never seen an indusium It has a soft villous appearance in the frond and stem

It has a soft … and stem is a note on the MS with its intended insertion point marked with an asterisk.
(No. 1.) has a creeping rhizome & is scaly about the base. This is the common form from Sydney to the Blue Mountains.
No. 2. has not a creeping rhizome, & I fancy that it is allied to no. 3 from the Clarence & No. 4. from the Macleay.

No. 5 is what I take to be A. tenerum — from the Blue Mountains, &, perhaps, 3, 4 & 5 may all be referred to the same species, as well as the Norfolk Island N.
