27/1/80.
It has occurred to me, dear Mr Odgers, that the liberality of the West Australian
Government should be reciprocated in sending to the Victorian Government a number
of copies of the Forest-Report,
by forwarding a few (perhaps 5) copies of the Eucalyptus-Atlas,
brought out here as far as ready. Ours will be at least 100 plates, theirs is 20,
so five copies seem to represent a fair return-gift.

B79.13.10; see also M to M. Fraser, 17 January 1880.
2
The four decades comprising B79.13.11 were the only decades published by the date
of M's letter.
3
M's suggestion was followed up. Instructions were sent to the Government Printer on
24 February 1880 and a letter to the Colonial Secretary of WA on 25 February.
Regardfully your
Ferd. von Mueller.
