My dear Baron
I enclose you a native fruit sent from the Coonamble district, N.S.W. to Mr W. S. Campbell the Chief Draftsman of this Department. It is called the "native lemon", as it has the acid taste of the ordinary lemon.
Would you kindly let me know its Botanical name, and whether the plant is likely to be injurious or not.
With kindest regards I remain
faithfully yours
C S Wilkinson
