No other correspondence with Collyer has been found.
No. 1 plant I think to be rare roots are of great size and grow in cement-like soil only its mottled flowers are attached to a stalk resembling asparagus and reaches about three feet in height.
No 2. I cannot recognize — yellow starlike floweret.
