ausgesprochenen Wunsche eine neue Localität mit Ihrem geehrten Namen bezeichnen wird.

Behn [sic] River was 'called the "Behn," after Dr. Behn, of Gotha, —successor to Petermann,
and who co-operated with that gentleman for many years in his researchers towards
the advancement of Australian scientific geography' (A. Forrest (1880), p. 28, entry
for 7 August 1879). The name was changed to Behm by the WA Geographic Names Committee
on 5 February 1996, and by the Place Names Committee for NT in April 1996 (
